Postpartum Doula Support

The transition of bringing home a baby is not to be underestimated. Helping hands, practical information for all the shifts (and gear) that come with a tiny kiddo, and a nurturing presence make all the difference in your postpartum time.

$40-$50/hour

A Postpartum Doula works with each family individually to find out their particular needs. My goal is to bolster you in your parenting of your child, help you lean into your instincts, and ease the transition that occurs when welcoming a new baby.

Some of the postpartum services that a doula can perform include (but are not limited to):

  • Guidance with newborn feeding and lactation, if chosen

  • Emotional support and birth processing

  • Physical recovery help and information

  • Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting

  • Nutritious meal prep and/or meal planning

  • Light housekeeping as relates to the baby (newborn laundry, kitchen tidying, bottle washing)

  • Baby soothing techniques

  • Baby wearing information and support

  • Overnight newborn care

  • Sibling care

  • Education on postpartum complications

  • Referrals to local resources such as but not limited to parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support and other parenting support groups.

I take on a very limited number of postpartum families. If you are interested in postpartum support, please also look at my postpartum care package.
