Not everyone chooses to have a birth doula as part of their birth team, but everyone benefits from spending time planning and preparing for birth! Birth planning sessions are private, three-hour sessions during which we will discuss:

• place of birth

• pain management

• comfort measures

• common interventions and hospital policies

• special circumstances such as medical inductions and cesarean birth

• newborn procedures

• and more!

We will work together during this time to create a shareable document for your birth team. We ‘ll also discuss the best practices for sharing your preferences with your providers.

Birth planning sessions come with email access for questions, resources, and other information between the session and your time of birth. They can be done virtually or in-home.
